Product Description What you are looking at is a document from the early days of the zombie plague. Little is known about the author before his infection--only that he was a poet. This facsimile of his actual journal recounts the events of humanity's darkest hours through the intimate poetry of haiku. Inside you'll find increasingly disjointed and terrifying three-line poems (all in the classic 5-7-5 syllable structure), and follow the undead poet on a journey through deserted streets and barricaded doors. Experience every eye-popping, gut-wrenching, flesh-eating moment of the eventual downfall of the human race from the point of view of a zombie, and gain insight to help you survive--if you can.

Zombie Haiku July 19, 2010 D. Nolan My daughter convinnced me to order this book. At first I had no interest but after reading the first few pages I was hooked. Never really thought about what it would be like to be human turning into a zombie. A diary of a persons transformation. A different sort of view. Perfect for people who are into Zombies. Used for Teen reading group.
Haiku for Mecum June 2, 2010 Jesse C. Dedman (Texas) Flesh to be consumed
Decaying from off the bone
dropping onto ground
Mecum writes better Haikus than me, but I did it anyway. I love how in so little words he could make me, someone that can witness the gutting of an animal without the slight flinch, close the book for relief from the graphic depiction.
Zombie Haiku! April 23, 2010 Felicia Tiller (Washington, D.C.) Outstanding little book. I received this from my daughter as a birthday gift. It's a journal written all in Haiku (17 syllables for each stanza, written in 5-7-5) by a person as he was turning after he was bitten. My favorite poem....as he comes to a nursing home full of the elderly:
Little old ladies
speed away in their wheelchairs
frightened meals on wheels.
and this one:
He tends not to flinch
though I am yelling in his ear
which is in my hand.
and this:
blood is really warm
it's like drinking hot chocolate
but with more screaming.
Outstanding!
Brains brains brains brains brains artificial hip? April 5, 2010 Chelsea (Florida) I received this book as a birthday present, and it was one of the best gifts. It is a travel through the experiences of a man that gets turned into a zombie through the lovely form of haiku. You get to witness the zombie apocalypse and what goes through a zombies mind in 5-7-5 format. It was a very easy read and I got through the entire book in one sitting, but i had a smile from ear to ear the entire time. If i am ever in a poor mood or I just need a good laugh this will be the book that I pick up. I recommend this for any zombie lovers out there, it is a must have.
bizarre February 13, 2010 M. Page (harrison twp, MI United States) starts off like a story and builds to where it gets really bizarre - my son absolutely loved it.Anyone who enjoys poetry and zombies will definitely find this book intriguing.
